Pasefika Chong Wong

An Aspiring Innovator

Pasefika has studied Design and Visual Communications for all five years of secondary education, centrally focused around product design and architecture. Born in New Zealand but of Samoan descent, she grew up in a noisy household of nine and was therefore exposed to the idea of land cultivation and use since young which, in a sense, stimulated her passion for architecture. Living in Auckland now as a passionate and creative UOA student, Pasefika enjoys approaching design problems in industrial and product design - Architecture being a particular interest of hers, as she aspires to one day design her own house as well as be able to portray her originality and incorporate her designs into the evolving world of design. Expectations by the end of this Design degree is to have an expansion of design knowledge and to have a full design artillery with effective design processes and skills to allow Pasefika to make her aspirations a reality. Always looking to further improve and enhance her work to become the designer she envisions herself to become is the attitude. When not trying to motivate herself to focus on tasks at hand, she delves into the world of anime and manga.
